For me, there are too many to narrow it down to just one. Some that come to mind:
Vintage color:

I like B/W and I like aerials, so I like this one of Fenway ALOT
http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4033/4715142563_7e0ce3a635_o.jpg
I like this of CBP, mainly because I took it (call me a poor man's Gary Dunaier). I didn't intentionally intend for the father & son taking in the game (at the far right) to define the photo, but it worked out that way. I wish I knew who they were, I think they'd treasure it. I wish I had a similar photo of me & my dad.

However, if Mike Brito (http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5214/5522748477_2dcb5d2820_o.jpg) put a gun to my head and said pick just ONE, I'd probably go with this (from rickvj/flickr)

For me, it has to be the Nat Fein photograph of Babe Ruth's farewell at Yankee Stadium. There is so much going on in that image - every time I look at it, I see something new.

My other favorite is this image, taken just after my beloved Mets clinched the 1969 World Series. I love how the towering scoreboard tells the story of the game, the facial expressions of the people in the stands, the clock which shows the exact moment in time, the cloud of dust from fans running out onto the field, the ushers who've given up the idea of holding back the crowd, and that benign message, "Good afternoon and thank you for coming. Please arrive home safely." Like anyone is thinking about going home...

This one would have to be up there for me. It's a cropped version of a 1949 WS pic. I can just imagine the banners and bunting rippling in the breeze, and the vendors calling out:

I agree - I really lucked out with the picture I took there in July 2005 vs the Mets, remains my favorite. Pedro Martinez in mid-pitch (first pitch of the bottom of the 1st), perfect sky, boats going by, etc. And someone lifted it and put in on the City of Pittsburgh wiki page! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pittsburgh

The view from the center field parking lot must have been an awesome sight for anyone who grew up going to games at the PGs or Ebbetts. The shear massiveness of Shea, and her wall of humanity created by a sell out crowd must have felt intimidating when she was new back in the 60s.

I could have stood at that spot for hours just gazing on the Polo Grounds, the river, the EL and Coogan's Bluff. The sharpness and color make this picture perfect to me.

Most fans probably did not see it, because the game was played on a Thursday afternoon and they were working or - in my case - still in school. I remember several occasions in the years before Series games were played at night, feigning illness so I could stay home from school and watch the game, or sneaking a transistor radio to school to catch snippets of the action and track the score. Of course the teachers were all on to us, but they let us "get away" with it anyway!

I've never seen a day game in the WS.
I've missed the ending to most of the WS title clinching games in my life time.
I stayed awake for Boston '04, and I've I toughed out the game 7's over the years; but when you wake up at 6:00 eastern it becomes a losing battle against the eye lids after 11:00.

This was and is still my fav. You can almost feel the atmosphere of the impending series game, smell the smells and the I love the faces of the characters present are priceless! I hope someday to find a print, scan and have enlarged print framed on my wall of this one, among others, but particulary this one. There are other noteworthy photographs I know, but I always come back to this one when perusing the photos I have collected on BBF and elsewhere.

This one with OYS and the Polo Grounds in the same shot always struck a chord with me....something about the epicenter of the game in those years being enclosed in such a small area.

There are many great ballpark pictures available on the Library of Congress website (www.loc.gov), and many have been posted on this forum. This one, of the 1912 World Series at the Polo Grounds, is one of my favorites. Hard to believe it was taken almost one hundred years ago!

What I like about this picture is how unnatural it looks - Jackson's pinstripes and impeccable stirrups contrasted with the first generation Astroturf and the football-intended shape of the Superdome. It's not often you see a Yankee in pinstripes somewhere away from the Bronx.

I'm betting on the mid 50s as far as wearable merchandise (hats, shirts, jackets)...but most of the fans were people taking time off from their workday. So, it'd be harder to change into Joe Mauer sideburns, facepaint and toss on a Pujols jersey on the L or trolleys

I think a good case might be made for Eddie Matthews at bat at Milwaukee County Stadium, which graced the cover of the first edition of Sports Illustrated:

One of the first great action shots of night baseball.
The image is so notable, Sports Illustrated felt the need to recreate it.

My favorite is definitely one of the variations of this photo. Some clearer, some larger, some brighter, etc. The photo was taken by a fan who had a camera with TWO EXPOSURES in it. This was the second photo of the two.
"Bobby hitting at .292. He's had a single and a double and he drove in the Giants first run with a long drive to center. Brooklyn leads it 4-2. Hartung down the line at third not taking any chances. Lockman without too big of a lead and second but he'll be runnin' like the wind of Thomson hits one. Branca throws... There's a LONG DRIVE! It's Going to be I BELIEVE!!!!........"

I had a very similar (if not the exact same) postcard as a child. My father brought it back for me when he was in Detroit on business. I don't think I had started kindergarten yet. I've gone through my closet several times in recent years looking for it, but I think it has been lost to time. While the Reds have always been my favorite team, that postcard cemented Tiger Stadium as my favorite ballpark of all time. I never did get a chance to visit the place, but the stadium has held a place in my heart ever since. Now 15+ years later, the Tigers are my favorite American League team.

All great pictures so far....
Two corrections:
1. The pic of the 1960 World Series was taken from the "Cathedral" of Learning, not the Centre of Learning. As a Pitt Grad, I'm very proud of the Cathedral and the Nationality Rooms enclosed therein. Also, it's the second tallest educational building in the world.
2. The last pic of the 1909 WS is from Bennett Park in Detroit, not Pittsburgh.
