There are a number of photos of spectacular catches by Duke Snider. Unfortunately, I have no skill in obtaining/moving photos to this site. Perhaps there are others who will look into this.

Sept. 28, 1951. Yankee Pitcher Allie Reynolds on his way to his second no hitter in 1951, Yogi drops foul pop, two outs, 9th inning.
You don't want to give a hitter a second chance.............especially when it's Ted Williams. Reynolds pitches to Ted again, "dega vu all over again". Ted hits another foul pop and this time Yogi catches it, game over.
Saw an interview with Ted, if I recall he said he thought Allie would throw the same pitch.........and he did.
On the subject of Allie Reynolds, never gets his due. Great starting pitcher and also some clutch relieving regular and World Series.

More on that ump attacked. Ump Magerkurth "reversed' an out call by ump Bill Stewart that kept a Cinci rally alive and led to Red's win. According to the NY TImes the ump did land a few head shots at the start of the fight.

I guess Pete Reiser was "Charlie Hustle" before Pete Rose held the title.Talk about a player going all out, all the time, that was him.

Am I imagining things, seems like a number of steals of home in World Series play were against the Yanks. If I recall, Elio Cachon, check rhe spelling on that one, Monte Irvin, Robinson, Tim McCarver on the front end of a double steal.
Maybe bing a Yankee fan and they being in so many WS, it just seems that way.
