A friend of mine got a vile of infield dirt from every stadium a couple of years ago. He's a teacher and used it as part of a lesson.

I have one of the green wooden seats from old Tiger Stadium (or shall I call it Tiger Stadium Classic?). These were replaced by plastic, blue and orange seats in the late 70s. I am not sure how long my seat was in use in the old stadium.
My other stadium artifact is not from a baseball stadium, but is every bit as cool IMO. It is a framed piece of the artificial turf that was in University of Michigan Stadium (football) from 1969 to 1990, which included the entire 20 year tenure of Coach Bo Schembechler.

Sad story: Went to Old Comiskey Park as new park was being built. Took a brick from the green base of the stadium--the guard saw me and gave me a Sox game schedule. I had the brick for some time and then lost it when we moved homes five years ago. Silly thing, I think of it often and makes me feel, well you know... (I still have the schedule and pictures however.

A real estate agent in my home town has a pair of original seats from Ebbet's Field that he has afixed to his front porch. The owner of the seats is Don Thompson and he was a player for the Brooklyn Dodgers in the early 1950's.
Don told me once that his two best friends while he was playing in the minors and majors were Chuck Conners and Clem Labine.

That's pretty cool, he must be 80 or older, right? I would give anything for one of those seats!
Thanks for the story.

I have seen them on sale at Jungle Jim's, of all places. I believe there are a couple shops in the Montgomery area that have a few, if you believe Lance McCallister.

I have a cast iron "folding chair" that was used as an infield box seat at Tiger Stadium. The folks at Detroit Athletic company (who still have a few of them) say they were removed in 1977, but could be original to the park. I have seen seats like them in pics and video of the 1934 World Series.

They pop up on e-bay from time to time. You can also check out www.ballparkseats.com. I've never dealt with them but them seem to deal with seats from all old stadiums.

I have a few fragments of rocks supposedly taken from Fulton County Stadium inside of a CD case. It was packaged in a bootleg CD I own called "The Day the Beatles Came to Town" which is a recording of their August 18, 1965 concert there. Part of why I originally bought the CD was to get the Fulton County rubble. I figure anything involving both Hank Aaron and the Beatles has to be cool.

how much do you think an entire chair would run, with the stands, and fold down and the back

All I saw at Jungle Jim's were sets of four, with each as you have described, for $500. I've seen individual seats for about $100. I remember they had an auction shortly before they opened GAB, and it was a one-time deal, so a lot would have to be out there.

WE have a few seats from OUR Ebbets Field...which WE will never part with.
I am told that the price for one of OUR seats, if you could find an original one, has surpassed $2,000. No doubt this price will continue to rise, as time goes by.
I also have a few bags of "stuff" that WE collected in 1960 on the day that they started the demolition of OUR Ebbets Field. It is very hard to look at, knowing that this is all that remains of OUR once grand home.
OUR Centerfield Flagpole (which held OUR 1955 World Championship Banner) still exists infront of a church in Brooklyn. It was donated to this building (originally a VFW Hall) by the construction company who demolished OUR Ebbets Field. For the past year WE have been trying to "buy" it, and have it replanted in a historical area of Brooklyn, where it will proudly stand, forever. WE will succeed in doing this...eventually.

I posted this question here a long time ago and got no response. Figured that no one else here did. I've got seats from Foxboro Stadium, Fulton County Stadium (have several of these to trade), Memorial Stadium, Municipal Stadium in Cleveland, Metropolitian Stadium in Minn., Riverfront Stadium (x2, would consider a trade), County Stadium in Milwaukee, Mile High Stadium (have extras of those as well), and Engel Stadium (minor league park).
I don't get into bricks too much. Just one from Fenway and that's it.
For you Chicago folks out there, I'm looking to add a free-standing seat from Comiskey Park if you know anyone who's got one to sell or trade.

Cheney Stadium (home of the Tacoma Rainiers) is selling their seats for $75. They have a long history to them...
Here is a link to the site and tells about the history of the seats (http://www.tacomarainiers.com/archive/historicseats.htm)
a very cool note, they mention some of the players who have played for the home team where these seats were located (originally came up from the San Franciso Seals Stadium in 1931).
Some of the players who played for the home teams include:
San Francisco Seals: Joe DiMaggio (where he had a 61-game hitting streak in 1933) and his brothers Dom and Vince, and Lefty O'Doul
San Francisco Giants: Orlando Cepeda, Willie McCovey, Willie Mays, Felipe Alou, and Dusty Rhodes
Tacoma: Willie McCovey, Gaylord Perry, Juan Marichal, Mark McGwire, Jose Canseco, and Alex Rodriguez
**quick edit** I have no affiliation with the Rainiers or Cheney. just happened to notice this while checking the team schedule a couple weeks ago so please don't mistake this as an advertisement!!

Unfortunately, all three of those seat websites are overpriced. For example, I got two Memorial Stadium seats for $200. The three prices from these places is $279, $399, and $400, and that's just for one. If there's a seat you're looking for, I would only suggest buying from these places as a last resort.

I am not real into getting stadium memorabilia, but I do have two nice pieces. I have a row of four seats from when they converted Olympic Stadium (in Atlanta) into Turner Field. Each seat has the Olympic logo on the seat back. I also have an ashtray from one of the suites in the Astrodome.

Like in the movie fever pitch? LOL do you have Yankees Toilet paper too?
Have you seen Manny's little boys room? It's so cool, it's decorated like Fenway with murals and his bed is like the bullpen really awesome!
By the way, in the future I have "my room" all decorated in my head, so when we move to a bigger house, my husband knows I want one room just for me with all my stuff.........I want the glove couch and baseball bean bag chairs and tiffany lamps with all my fav teams with a big one over my pool table. The jerseys will be in cases on the walls with bats making a border around the cielings...........there will be a case for balls of course and the frames with cards all over. I can't wait! I want a bar and big screen tv too. and in my red sox bathroom, I will have Yankees toilet paper :dance

Porch, that sounds cool, but If I could suggest, leave the jerseys unframed, as it leads to more of a "clubhouse" feel. I'll have to post pics of the living room.. Quite truthfully, it's not as kitschy as the room in fever pitch, but I do have a good bit of the same stuff.

In my humble little collection, I have single seats from Boston Garden, Comiskey Park, Tiger/Navin/Briggs Stadium (wooden seat, not the '70's plastic) and Memorial Stadium (metal, not wood - BUT, with Cal's #8).
I've had much luck obtaining seats through eBay - and at a much better price than those listed on the aforementioned websites.

I have two things from Yankee Stadium (gotten from Steiner so I trust that they are legit).
One is a bright blue plastic sign with white letters and arrows on it, about 2 feet by 3 feet, directing you to the Pinstripe Pub, the Stadium Club, the Yankees Food Court, and Monument Park. It has a small chip missing from the lower left corner but the rest of the sign is real nice.
The second is a locker room plaque that used to hang over the locker area of Carl Pavano, its 2" x 12", and is dark blue with white letters, on the left is the Yankee NY logo, then it says Pavano, then it has the number 45.
I hope to obtain something else really neat when they start taking the stadium apart after next season, the stupidest thing ever done in the history of sport.

I'm sure anything and everything even remotely collectible from Shea Stadium and Yankee Stadium will be put up for auction. Listen, if they've got the audacity to auction urinals from the ballpark... and someone's crazy enough to buy them...
I've got the words "POTATO CHIPS" on a long magnet that I found on the floor in one of the Shea Stadium concourses a couple of years ago. Apparently it fell off the sign at one of the concession stands.

I forgot that i also have a Coca Cola thick vinyl sign that i have rolled up that actually hung during the 1997 world series at the Marlins Stadium (i dont know what to call it, Joe Robbie Stadium, Pro Player, Dolphins Stadium, etc.).
However, since the sign ONLY says Coca-Cola it doesnt look like anything special so it really is not much of a collectible. It really does nothing for me unfortunetely.

I have 4 seats from Yankee Stadium, two sets of two. They're the curved-back seats installed in the 40's. I also have several loose slats.
From other ballparks-one straight backed seat rom Cleveland Municipal, one curved back from old Comiskey, one brick from old Comiskey and one brick from Balt Memorial. Also, a few slats from War Memorial in Greensboro, NC, which I later found out are from Yankee Stadium and Shibe Park.
My prize posession, however, is one straight slat from a Yankee Stadium reserved seat in the lower RF stands. I found it on my way out of he Stadium after the last game, Sept 30 1973.
