I pitched at my practice today and every pitch was high. I tried pulling down, but that didn't work. I changed up my release point also, but it didn't really do much. Any help?

Did the hips clear?

My son goes through this now and then. When he lets his lower body get lazy, and not aggressively rotate, then the arm has to throw what I call "uphill".
But when the lower body aggressively generates it's power, the arm can throw down hill.

That might have been the problem.

One of the more common situations that lead to getting the ball out of the proper vertical plane is when the hands break late. This can lead to dragging the arm quite easily because it's trying to catch up with the rest of the body.

My son seems to experience the very same thing. If he is high, it usually means he is not using his back leg properly which in turn means his hip rotation will be subpar. Telling him to sit longer and to forcefully turn the instep (squish the bug) seems to aid in creating a more powerful rotation.

he might have excessive movement on the back leg, causing his eyes to get off track.????

I agree with the person with the late breaking hands. Something is off with his timing that is causing the pitch to be high. If his hands are breaking too late, have him start the hand break earlier. If his hands are breaking fine, maybe his lower half is moving too fast for his upper body to catch up to

That sounds exactly like what dm would say. I would not try to break your hands too soon, or this could cause a significant decrease in velocity.

Well, I mean break your hands sooner so that by the time your front foot touches the ground your arm is in the cocked position. Good timing. Good rythem.
