It's uncommon for Gardenhire to move this quickly on this type of decision. He must be getting some heat from the front office.

I have never been a fan of Carlos Silva. He has always been terrible IMO.

Now Liriano I think is great. I think it's great that they are moving him into the rotation. He has been great so far and the hitters look stupid against his slider.

Liriano is the man, but Boof was touted as the top prospect in the Perzinsky trade. Liriano still has some arm strength issues coming out of the pen, while Boof has been starting at rochester. I think, just maybe, that Boof might make the bigger impact EARLY. Liriano is still absolutly nasty.

QUOTE
"The southpaw has pitched out of the bullpen to start the campaign. He shows a sick 37:7 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 2006. Last season Liriano led the minor leagues in strikeouts with 204 punchouts in 168 frames. He's a converted outfielder as the 22-year-old should continue to develop at a rapid pace. .."

Liriano is going to be sick IMO.

Liriano vs. King Felix, tommorrow at the dome. Somewhere Don King is going nuts.
