Wow, what a game! Big Frank hits 2 homers and the Sox still find a way to win.
First off, it was great to see the standing ovation given to Big Frank. Sox fans still love Frank as much as he loves Sox fans. Like he said, he came back home. It was emotional for both Sox fans and Frank, and I think both wish he was still here in some capacity. Its still a shame he couldn't finish his career here.
Barry Zito looked very good and shut the Sox down. They didn't much of anything going until he left the game. Garland on the other hand, had a below average outing. The bullpen did look good with Thornton and Jenks both having good outings, and Jenks picking up the win.
How about Mackowiak and Ozuna? It doesn't get much more clutch than that. Ozuna has been great for this team. He always gives them that spark to get things going. Its even more impressive that he does all of this in limited playing time.
Everyday its a different hero coming through, much like last year.:gt
