Just wondered what your thoughts are and who we'd trade if we got him?

I don't see how Weaver would bring anything to our ballclub that we're not already getting by patching together a rotation with guys from AAA, unfortunately. There's a reason that LA would be willing to eat a large portion of his contract.

I'd rather see poor starts from potentially improving youngsters than poor starts from mediocre pitchers facing career decline. Weaver just doesnt represent any upgrade.

The only way I see it happening is if the Angels eat a ton of money as Weavers salary would hit the luxury tax hard, if Clement and Wells are done (Wells is, IMHO), and the Sox feel throwing one or more youngsters into the mix will hurt their development.
