CHICAGO -- Tickets for tonight's game between the World Champion Chicago White Sox and St. Louis Cardinals are sold out. Tickets remain for Wednesday's game vs. St. Louis and Friday and Sunday's contests against the Houston Astros.

Tonight's sellout marks the 16th of the year, two short of the club record set in 2005. The White Sox have sold more than 2.68 million tickets in 2006, surpassing 1992 to become the second-highest ticket sales season in team history. The club attendance record of 2,934,154 was set in 1991, the first year of the new ballpark. From 1991 through 2003, the ballpark had an additional 6,600 seats.

I'll be at Friday's game!:clapping

Its nice to have a roaring packed house everyday cheering for the Sox but at the same time, I already miss the days of being able to walk up to the ticket booth the day of the game and still get great seats.

Even in the middle of last year, we could walk up and get tickets seated right behind the scout seats. We saw Kenny Williams there once sitting just a couple rows in front of us in a scout seat.

I'm sure your nephew will have a great time. A buddy of mine is taking his 6 year old to his first ever Sox game next month.

My first Sox game was back in the late 70's. I remember it well because it was Bat Day! They gave out kid size real wood bats. You don't see anyone giving out stuff like that anymore.
