In general, my favorite is the current uniform the team has been wearing since 1993, which I personally hope are kept indefinitely. They've hit on the correct design and should stick with it. These are the only caveats to that:
1. Remove the player names from the back of the jersey, like the Yankees, Red Sox, and Dodgers. More of a classic look, I really like it. This also emphasizes the team over the individual, imho.
2. Never use the light blue highlights for anything ever again, such as on the visor of the cap. Thankfully I don't think they've done that in years.
3. Standard home whites and road grays, and that's it! No "alternative" jersies. :grouchy
All that said, I am actually looking forward to seeing the one game with the throwback Pilots uniforms.

Well, I'll try and figure out what I did wrong to get the images up, but meantime if you need a reminder of what the different uniform styles looked like, you can see them here:

I still have an original-style (77-80) Mariners cap with the trident on the front that I got when I was a kid. I wonder if it's worth anything. It's a little dirty, lol.

I personally like the 1977-80 uniforms the best. But the 1993-2006 uni is a close second.

You know, those 77-80 unis aren't too shabby I guess, but they have the 70's-style pull-over tops and elastic waistbands. I guess baseball is just meant to be played in button shirts.

I must say that I prefer the older uniforms especially the 1981-1986 one. The blue and yellow trim gives it a bit of character rather than boring old plain grey or white with nothing to make it significantly stand out from every other uniform in the majors.

The uniforms have gotten progressively better (although the first two are more or less the same as far as I'm concerned). I dislike the first two, the third is pretty good; the new ones are great.
I prefer having the names on the back, since I don't have everyone's number memorized (yeah, yeah, shame on me  ), so it helps id some of the lesser-known players.

I would definitely like to see a serious throw-back for the 1981-1986 jerseys. Kinda how Milwaukee's throwbacks have looked.
Do a uniform in the cut of the modern, baggy uniforms, but with the colors, lettering, and similar design of the 1981-1986 jerseys.

Hey did you catch the Houston - San Diego game last night with those throw back uniforms ?

I agree with that. The Brewers Retro Sundays are fun to see. I wouldn't mind seeing the M's with the older unis, sans the elastic waistband. The A's and Giants did that when they had their 80s night: 1982 unis, with belted pants. Cool.
The only aspect of any of the uniforms that I really dislike is the '87-'92 cap. A generic 'S' that could stand for anything.

My preference is for the '93-Present one, of course, that could stem from the fact that it's the only Mariners uniform I've ever seen, or alternatively it could stem from the fact that it's well... Nicer than the others. Either is good.
EDIT: The newest logo is also very classy I feel.

I like the current jerseys. Those are destined to become a classic.
I also like the 81-86 jerseys, those are probably my favorite Mariners jerseys.i have the Trident Star M cap here at home. That was a cool cap.

You know, I grew up in Seattle and was an M's fan until I turned 10. Anyway, I always did like the trident with the star behind it. Pretty catchy, but not as cool as the 80's Brewers logo.

I like 'em all except the '87-'92 set. Those are AWFUL.
The currents are the best. But I LOVE the older ones as well. I'd love to see a hybrid of the two designs.

The Current one has the nicest design, it still looks like an average jersey but it's still the Best one in Mariners' History...

The current is my fav. but I miss the sleevless jersey that JR had them bring in.....They looked really good I always wondered why they stopped wearing them.
I miss the '95~'97's alternate home Teal uniform.

The uniforms that they wear nowadays, are the best. But the cap of the early years (trident M) is the best they have ever had IMO.

I agree, I never liked the light blue jerseys/hat brims/etc. I like the basic home whites and road grays of the 1993-2007 style.

They really, really, really need to adopt those uniforms as their "Sunday" uniforms. They looked GREAT today. I love those unis!

Their current uniforms are clearly the best in their history, but I love the 1981-1986 ones. I'm not afraid to admit I have bad taste. :D
