Last night was a great start with our worst starter knocking off their best pitcher. Minnesota must feel a little concerned after losing that close game.
Do you think we'll take the series?
How about anyone for a sweep?
The worst we can do is lose a game in the standings this weekend to the Twins
at this point. I really enjoyed the way the Tigers fought to win that game last night. This team has character!!:gt

Well, in hindsight...I think the Tigers will take this series. How about that for a gutsy prediction?
I think tomorrows game will be a GEM. Bondermania will run wild all over Santana. GO TIGERS!!! SWEEP SWEEP SWEEP

I guess the answer is "Yes". They took the first two and that really hurts the Twinkies.

Yeah, I think it's safe to say that we cooled off the Twins. All of that hard work getting themselves back into a playoff position and they can't make up any ground whatsoever on the division leader. At least they are still in the thick of the wild card race.

If that is the case where the Tigers can't see the letter T. Then everytime the Twins take the field the Tigers just see wins? Ok it was dumb, but it made me chuckle a tiny bit.

Thank you, Mr.President ..( of the Tigers haters club ) as he stares at
a picture of the ' corner ' and chanting ' 43-119 '....
aww c'mon Donald...lighten up....enjoy the season, you're welcome to
enjoy the rebirth of baseball in Detroit...heck, c'mon over and catch a
game at COPA.....and you know what, all great teams deal with a little
extra luck...last season, the WHITE SOX, enjoyed a bit of it..
Oh well...probably no changing Donald's mind....

Good point...best thing about it, is doing it on the TWINS home turf...
One thing to stick it to 'em at COPA, but to take it to 'em at the dome,
well...it has gotta hurt, a tad...if the results were reversed, and the
TWINS were doing it to our Tigers, they could have gotten within
5 and one half games..and on an roll...but the flip, is now 10 and one half,
and if they get swept...11 plus games...quite a dif from the 5 plus lead..
The Twins dug themselves into a glitch, earlier in the season, but you
gotta respect, even like'em..for coming back...they didn't quit on themselves..
but it has to be a pain, to have that recent win streak...and barely make
up ground on the Tigers....Still, they are in the thick of the hunt, for
the WC...but I wouldn't count Chicago, out yet....

I have a feeling Minny will win today and avoid the sweep. Those sweeps are very hard to do these days.
I also DON"T think the Tigers will fold down the stretch. That rotation is pretty solid plus remember they have Maroth waiting to get back in.
I wonder if Donald watches the team on TV.
Do you, Donald?

Maybe there is an "Architecture Fever" website somewhere where non-baseball fans can go an complain about old stadiums and buildings that are no longer are around...
It's nice to see the Tigers doing well. Detroit has a good, knowledgeable fanbase and they should get to see a winner more than every twenty years or so.

Actually, you do have a use for them. You love to bash them any time you can. That's your choice, of course, but you're missing out on a helluva team and a magical season. But hey, as long as you're having fun and still intersted in baseball, that's all that really matters.

I guess that Minneapolis snow globe, the chicken blood and the arcane incantation before the 8th inning worked. I never pictured Donald a voodoo priest? That has to be the only logical explanation, akums razor says so.
Actually, I guess you just chalk that up to the Metrodome gods, combined with the old win some you should lose, and lose some you should win. Now let's just hope this team will take care of the undermanned TB DevilRays.

Tigers lost today...a game they should have won...musta been Donald's
voodoo magic doing it's thingy...at least, as of late, when we lose..the
SOX lose as well..I can only imagine the joy when the Tigers lose...
ye-haw ! and bring back the corner !....
Myself, I don't like the homer dome..just is not a good place for baseball..
I sure hope the TWINS replace it with an outdoor park...
anyhow, on to the DevilRays...and eat'em up, TIGERS!!

It's really a disappointing loss. I thought Bonderman got frustrated with some of his teammates during the inning, and perhaps should have been pulled sooner. It's a learning experience. He's been here so long already that we forget he's the same age as Justin Verlander. Plus, Bonderman was so good yesterday that we didn't notice how badly Santana was pitching, and we wasted too many opportunities to really tag the dude. Hopefully this will anger the team to the point where we go on a run and put some huge distance between us and everybody else, especially those damn Sox.
