Anyone played it?
I set the difficulty to Bat Boy (easiest) and won 28 games one season... while pitching for Colorado! I was drafted by Detroit, and before the yo-yo bug could set in, was traded to Colorado.

I played the demo, which only allows you to play one season.

So, playing this quickly for a few minutes I've learned that baseball players get drunk daily....... and I'm not any girl's type.... very useful information
Now that I think about it, im 18 and drinking daily at the local bar... nice

I only got drunk after I got shelled. I started out in AAA going 8-1 with a 1.13 ERA, then got traded. I won the Cy Young three years in a row, won 20 games five years in a row, and once won 28... all while pitching in Colorado.

Well, yeah, I was the first overall draft choice.

wow, how did that happen!
I have done 2 different ones, one as a good Defensive and Contact hitting SS, and a SP with Good Control and Power. Both times I got drafted by Toronto in the 1st round, but with the Pitcher, I started in AA.
Also, I started right out of HS.

In the demo, you should start out of college, because that way you can be successful your first year. I started mine in the demo, then bought the full game when the demo ran out.

You obviously haven't been a free agent yet, nor bought any stuff. The full version is amazing.

but it loads VERY slow

that's because of all the data. If you do the internet WITHOUT loading the player pages, it's much faster. It sims pretty quickly, you can get a MONSTER SP if you want, the loading times are the only bad thing. I highly recommend it.

I love the game, haven't played in a while. I'm actually going to start a career right now.

if it got rites to feature real MLB players and real logos, I would most likely buy it for $20.
the whole thing is slow (to go to the next day)
Could it be because I have it on my Windows XP Laptop?

Cant take the backgrounds anymore... the white on white on white on gray just kills my eyes too much

Oh, if it's a LAPTOP, don't run it. It killed my laptop. But now that I'm running it on a regular PC, it works fine.
Also, I think you can download the Lahman database to get real players (or download it for OOTP 5 (which is free) and start your career there). There's nothing you can do about the logos, though.
