Well, I guess this week is going to be the "measuring stick" for all those blowhards on ESPN to speak ill of our beloved Tigers. Unless, the Tigers do the unlikely and pull off the sweep. As even if the Tigers take 2 of 3, the overall record against those Highlanders would be a losing one 3-4.

I am hoping for just 1 win in this series, anything else would be gravy. Let's hope we are moving to the "gravy" after tonight. "Hard luck" Nate is going, let's hope the Tigers can do a little better in support for if it is Nate at his norm, the 2-3 R and 7 IP norm, that usually gets him a loss.

Bummer, rain in the Bronx. At least our boys had two days off before they have to play a double-header. However, the Yanks should be recovered from their West Coast trip better now. I'd like at least one win too, but that gravy sounds awfuly good.

Rain in the Big Apple, so as Ernie Banks would say, '"Let's play two."

This quote in from Yahoo...

"The Tigers and Yankees met with both teams 25 or more games over .500 for the first time since Sept. 17, 1961."

Good day today. Not because we split, but we had a good first game defensively and in the nightcap we won the way we need to, with last minute heroics. Sure, it would be better if we could win every game 9-0, but you need to be able to stay in the game, not lose hope, grind 'em out and get that 2-out 3 run homer when the situation calls for it.

Way to go, Monroe! We'll take it.
