Over the years a lot has been made of all the relatives in bb. I just had the thought though, which is currently the most potent sur name in baseball, regardless of them being related or not....The list I have come up with, off the top of my head, would be;

Rodriguez, I A & K Rod, I think those fellows would be the early leaders in the clubhouse. Although, light on pitching K Rod I think made an allstar team?

Johnson, Randy, Josh, Jason, Nick, Nice pitching...light hitting.

Sanatana, Johan, Earvin (spelling?) Likely even a better pair then any of the Johnsons?

Lee, Cliff, Carlos, could be the best hitter and pitcher with the same name...as the hitters (A Rod, I Rod) that are better then Carlos don't have pitching better then Cliff and vice versa.

Please any additions to the names above or even more names, so we can solve this question

Not sure about current players, but more Robinsons are represented in the Hall of Fame than players with any other surnames: Brooks, Frank, Jackie and Wilbert.

Among current players, there are 9 Ramirezes, 9 Rodriguezes and 6 Andersons.

Rodriguez with Alex and Francisco alone should beat Pujols.

Bonds, father and son, can't pitch much but they can rake.

I was thinking of posting a simular thread in the history of the game part....Best sur names all time.

Ramireze is a pretty good group off the top of my head...Manny, Aramis

Making it for the coaching staff too would allow Pujols....after all Lois Pujols, is a fine bench coach fo the SF Giants (after seeing him coach in Detroit, I know this must be true LOL)

I've resurrected this thread because the Mets have had a lot of Hernandezes. Orlando, Anderson, and Roberto are all current Mets and Keith was a former Met. I can't think of many more but off the top of my head some more from other teams are Jose, Livan, umpire Angel, I'm sure there are a ton more.
