Dodger fan here. I just wanted to give massive props to Furcal. Early on he was struggling and you guys said, "relax, he always starts off slowly and catches fire in the second half." A lot of Dodger fans were crying about his high salary and that he wasn't worth the money, blah blah blah. Well, you guys were right on! He's been smoking the ball like there is no tomorrow since the break, providing great leadership on the field, clutch hits on a daily basis and playing an amazing SS. Our second-half MVP IMO.
Worth every last penny of his paycheck and the driving force behind our pennant drive.
Oh and BTW, Betemit is pretty good too - hit another HR for us tonight! :clapping
Thanks guys! ;)

I wasn't that angry about Furcal leaving, but trading Betemit has really saddened me. :( The Dodgers definetly have their 3rd sacker of the future in Betemit. Furcal isn't that bad either. ;)

Bad trade for the Braves in leting go their next young star Betemit instead you added an OK reliever who can situationaly close ballgames for you guys when Wickman retires and an OK INF Prospect in Willy .

I miss both of em but wilson had a hard to time getting PT for us. He still has to compete for PT with the dodgers due to the abundance of IF's the dodgers have. I wish them both good luck in their careers! I hope down the line the trade will help us even more. Maybe Aybar will develop into a superstar!

This trade really doesn't upset me at all, even now. Betemit's doing exactly what he did with the Braves with the Dodgers. Not better, not worse. And who knew that Baez was going to need an emergency appendectomy?
And Aybar develop into a superstar? Nice thought, but he'll need the starting second base job in order to get that shot, and Marcus Giles will have to be traded for that to happen.

Well, I don't see him developing into a superstar at all.
