This ought to be an interesting post season... At least Harden is looking good!

Big congrats to Jason Kendall and Mark Kotsay who have played over 2,700 games combined and are both making their first appearances in the postseason.

Harden's been solid and all, but I get an uneasy feeling hearing him promote a Bay-Area orthopedic surgeon on XM Radio. But, when you're a frequent customer... :(

Wow, cool pieces of trivia. I thought for sure Kotsay had made it to the playoffs at one point. At least Kendall is in after leaving that sinking ship...

Good luck making it past the first round after leading the series 2-0.

The only player that had more games than Kendall (~1500) and Kotsay (~1200) without playing in the postseason is Carlos Delgado, who will make his first appearance this this year. I'm guessing the player with the most games now without a postseason appearance is Jose Vidro (1181)

And I doubt that the Nats will reach the playoffs in the meantime.

Jeromy Burnitz will be the active leader with 1693 games played so far and no playoff appearances. Followed by Jeff Cirillo at 1536 games played, Damion Easley at 1513 games, Todd Helton at 1419 games, Matt Lawton at 1334 games, and Mike Sweeney at 1204.

Funny enough Bobby Higginson would be one of the leaders being removed off the list if he had been a Tiger this year.

I didnt realize Kotsay had been in the majors as long as he had, I remember when he was on the Marlins

He played some for the '97 Marlins, his first major league action, but wasn't on the postseason roster.

Agreed. Lots of good matchups are possible. The Tigers in the playoffs?? :clapping
