THIS JUST IN! :D First Wilbur, then Orville ... now young David. There must've been a Field of Dreams near Kitty Hawk, NC somewhere. :p ;) :waving

On pg 12 of today's Daily News, there's a pic of him grinning from ear-to-ear next to a Delta Airlines logo which reads "THE DAVID WRIGHT FLIGHT", and features his signature, #5 and the Delta name and logo at the bottom.

Here's the story:

The Wright brothers have an honorary kid brother - now that Delta Air Lines is naming a plane for Mets third baseman David Wright.
A new McDonnell Douglas MD-88 aircraft was christened the Wright Flight at a ceremony at LaGuardia Airport's Marine Air Terminal yesterday.

"It's pretty special," Wright said.

Wright laughed when asked whether having his own plane could be a lucky omen in the National League Division Series against the Dodgers, which opens tomorrow.

"I hope so," he said. "Come playoff time, it's about getting hot at the right time, getting that momentum swing."

The Wright Flight logo, which includes Wright's name, signature and jersey number, 5, is affixed next to the boarding door of the aircraft.

The 134-seat plane, which entered service in January, has stops in Boston, New York and Washington and features an all-leather interior.

The plane will be known as the Wright Flight for at least six months, said Delta executive Rachael Steegar.

"Once the Mets win the World Series, we'll talk about longer," she added.
