My guess would be either Lakeland or Erie.

He will most likely start the season at Erie and eventually make his way to Toledo by the end of the season. Could potentially be a September call up, depending on how he does in Spring Training and how his season goes.

Yeah he will start in Erie, but will most likely get moved to the Toldeo Mud Hens. He will probably be given a call-up and then....who knows....?

well i can't see the Tigers jumping him that quickly, especially with Granderson in CF and a few others able to play LF, but he is a good enough of a talent that he might just make the jump...

I agree completely. But Granderson's 174 strikeouts make me think Maybin will be the CF in 2008 if he does well next season.

Thinking about Granderson's 174 strikeouts actually makes me sick to my stomach. Something has to be done next season.

Even though Maybin is still a kid, they say he plays far beyond his age. He spent last season in West Michigan, playing across the street from my old school. If he has a good enough ST, there's an outside shot that Tigers' skipper Jim Leyland will bring Maybin back to Detroit when the team breaks camp. I'd put my money on him starting out at either Erie or Toledo, depending on how that spring goes. I don't think Detroit will put him on the bench in Motown when he can be getting daily at-bats with the AA or AAA team.

Granderson does K alot but he plays fine defense in CF.
