Do you think Tony Gwynn Jr. will be starting next season for the Brewers or do you think he needs another season in the minors?

I have no idea really, but the word from the scouting services is he is a major-league ready CF, but can't hit a lick.

He does need the experience of being in the big leagues. I say if he does horrible during next season then send him down to AAA for alittle bit, but not forever obviously. I'm sure he was taught pretty well by his dad.

I don't know, but I seem to see potential in him.

I see him as a player with potential but im not sure if he'll be starting next year. It all depends on what we do during the offseason in the outfield so we'll see.

I'd like to see him start the year at AAA Nashville and see if he can be eased into the bigs...Prince Fielder he is not!

But that really isn't a fair comparison. Take the bat out of both of their hands and you could say the same vice versa. I think Gwynn brings some things to the table that could be very benefical to the Brewers this year. I hope he wins the everyday spot.

Wonder why they say that. He did hit .300 with a .360 OBP percentage at AAA Nashville last season. His .396 SLG isn't great, but by the stats, I wouldn't say he "cant hit a lick".

Now that Bill Hall has made a move out to centre, if the move is indeed successful, does Gwynn have a future on the major league roster? Will they try and move him to left field?

Any other suggestions?

I think the Brewers should trade Jenkins and get a number two or three starter and bring Gwynn up. Move Hall to right and Gwynn to center.

I'd be delighted to see young Gwynn turn out to be the equal of his Dad, but frankly he hasn't shown me SQUAT!

I would love to see Gwynn become an everyday player. I played Baseball Mogul several times and each time Gwynn was a HOFer, so I see a lot of potential in him, thoguh you can't compare a fantasy simulator to the real thing. I remember seeing him hit a few times against the Cubs and he really had me watching. Same did Bill Hall and Prince Fielder, I really love the team that Milwaukee is brewing this year, I really see them going far, hopefully the Cubs and Brewers can face off in the NLCS. Now THAT is something to watch!

He might be a september call-up, unless he has a good ST. I saw him on TV at the AAA all-star game, he looked pretty good.

That's what they thought about Pete Rose Jr. :D

I saw him in the AAA All-Star Game too. I believe Milwaukee needs to have him play everyday. If he can do that in Miwaukee, sure bring him up. If not, keep him down until the All-Star break, re-evaluate him. If he's doing well, maybe bring him up, if not, wait til September.
