Looking at the young kids the Phillies have in the lower farm systems, it's not crazy to think that the Phils could have one of the better farm teams a few years down the road. With Gio Gonzalez being traded back to the White Sox, the Phillies dont have much in the higher farm systems that WOW anyone, but they do have some good young guys in the lower systems. I'll be interested to see how Scott Mathiason preforms next season after having surgery. Tommy John I think it was.

Andrew Carpenter

Career: Four-year pro with a 22-37 record and 4.47 ERA ... Is 17-13 in last 41 starts ... New York-Penn League in-season All-Star in 2005.
Scouting Report: "Very good athlete with a solid to above average fastball and average secondary pitches. Does little things well to be a winning pitcher. Very durable. Has been a slow developer, but his confidence has grown dramatically this year. Should be a quality Major League starter in time
That's just the righties. There may not be too many eye popping stats there but keep in mind these guys are going to be groomed troughout the farm teams, and hopefully become good or even outstanding pitchers....lefties is coming next week, I'll post it up when I see it on the site.
