"At a combined 85 years and 163 days, Moyer (44 years, 145 days) and Glavine (41 years, 18 days) were the oldest left-handed starters to face each other in baseball history. The oldest overall matchup came on July 29, 1993, when lefty Frank Tanana of the Mets tangled with Florida right-hander Charlie Hough (a combined 85 years and 232 days)."
