I have been searching the internet to find the # of innings per season a particular team played in a particular year. I have also been searching for a list of the highest # of innings a team played in a single season.

The reason I have been wondering abou this stat is because the Astros have been going into extra innings almost every night, and I was wondering how they compared historically to the highest.

Any ideas if these stats are kept anywhere?

Looks like the Stros are only third this year

baseball-reference.com has IP for every team in every league since forever.

Houston led the major leagues in innings in 2006. They are currently tied for third in the majors this year.
