View Full Version : What Stats Do You Use for Evaluating Players in an Historical DMB League?

I've been in a DMB league for a number of seasons, and have done alright. I've used various Baseball Prospectus stats such as VORP and MLV and EqA and Davenport translations, but I'm also looking for new, and possibly better ideas. We're going to be drafting 1996 in the near future.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I also use the stats from Baseball Prospectus, and that seems to work pretty well most of the time.

I use WHIP+ for pitchers, a stat that I pretty much created with the help of the Lahman DB in Excel format. For hitters, I like OPS+.
