Browns Luncheon

My hats off to the group that organized the Browns Luncheon today. It was wonderful. What a great way to spend the afternoon. It was the next best thing to a day at the ballpark. I really had a great time and the former players in attendance who spoke did a great job of revisiting the good, old days when the Browns were still in St. Louis, and Dan O'Neil. I especially enjoyed the stories about Satchel Paige. A big "thank you" to all involved.

I used to attend the Browns Fan Club Dinners (maybe 7 or 8). I somehow let me membership lapse in the Fan Club. My own fault, of course, but was wondering if anyone could give more information as to what players attended etc. Many thanks. Am rejoining the Fan club so I can stay up on things. Thanks.

The four players at the luncheon were Ed Mickelson, Babe Martin, Bill Jennings and Bud Thomas. Each of them stood up and told stories from their playing days or answered questions from the audience.
