I hated leaving Guerrero and Chipper off the poll - so I will add them here with a few other guys as well.

This gives us a nice total of 40 guys to chose from (41 of you count Piazza twice).

Oops - I forgot Larry Walker! Oh well, not going to add a third poll!

Chipper Jones and Vladimir Guerrero should be in, no questions asked.

Jones, despite his defense, has been the best third baseman in the NL since entering the league in 1995, and probably the best in the game pre-Rodriguez's move to the hot corner. Guerrero has been consistently excellent for the last eleven seasons, never posting an OPS+ below 130.

Vizquel, Delgado, Edmonds, and Helton are on the borderline, and I could probably see a strong argument being made for any of them. I would probably have Edmonds and Vizquel in before Delgado and Helton, though.

Cone and Williams are closer than their BBWAA ballots will have shown, but I believe they belong on the outside looking in.

Palmeiro is a "no" for me. I still don't really know where I stand on the whole PEDs and the Hall of Fame issue, but Palmeiro's position as a face of the issue pushes me in the opposing corner.

Just Chipper. Vlad is the only other player on here that I think is on track. If his career ended today, no. But he should do what it takes in the next 7-10 years

I'm okay with Chipper, but skeptical of the rest. Obviously Palmeiro has the numbers but I am going to wait awhile on him.
