OK folks, I haven’t had an article up in regards to our Rockies for the past couple of days because I have been puking non stop. Was it the flu you ask? No, no flu here, I made sure to get my shot long ago, plus I drink plenty of fluids everyday. I was hurling my guts out over the play of these Rockies in New York. Just as I like to say that winning is contagious, well so is losing! Aside from this afternoon’s lone win in the series, the Rockies play was disgusting to put it nicely. Most experts had us winning 3 of 4 games at Citi Field, not barely squeezing out one victory. I personally predicted a split, but hey, even I’m wrong sometimes!
Jorge De La Rosa (9-7) did get the win today in the second game of our doubleheader, it was his franchise record seventh win a row, so congrats to him. Huston Street picked up his 26th save of the year and Jonathon Niese (1-1) recorded the loss for the Mets. De La Rosa pitched 6.1 innings of excellent baseball giving up only 2 earned runs, walking 3, and striking out 5.
