I'm doing a video narrative on game 6 of the 1986 N.L.C.S. and had a question about the game regarding Jesse Orosco. In the bottom of the 16th inning, I remember when Kevin Bass came to the plate, the Mets infield had a conference on the mound and Keith Hernandez was telling Orosco what he should throw. Did he tell him to just throw sliders or to not throw them?

Keith has said that he told Gary Carter that if he called for one more fastball, he and Carter were going to 'go right there on the field'. Gary has confirmed this story, and both sides said Keith was not joking.

Okay. Thanks.
That helps. I first read about it in a book about Mets history and I also heard Orosco tell his side of the story, but because it had been so long since I last heard about it, I wanted to make sure that Hernandez didn't say to not throw another slider.
