According to Ken Rosenthal and Jon Paul Morosi the Blue Jays are close to sending Yunel Escobar and Adieny Hechavaria to Miami for Josh Johnson and Mark Buerhle. Rumors also say that Jose Reyes may be involved in the deal and more players are likely headed to Miami than just the two infielders.

i mean big wow1. The more I learn, the more convinced I am that many players are over-rated due to inflated stats from offensive home parks (and eras)

Confirmed: Reyes going to #BlueJays. Henderson Alvarez also going to #Marlins.
Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com reports that the Blue Jays have acquired Jose Reyes, Josh Johnson, Mark Buerhle, Emilio Bonifacio and John Buck from the Marlins in exchange for Yunel Escobar, Adeiny Hechavarria, Henderson Alvarez, Jake Marisnick and Justin Nicolino.

The Marlins have become such a joke. They panicked fast after one disappointing season. You can get away with that if your franchise has a deep history. But it's gonna take a while before free agents are willing to sign there.Using a stolen chant from Boston Celtics fans whenever an L.A. team is playing up there just reeks of inferiority complex.

With acquriing Buck, I guess Arencebia moves to 1B with D'Arnaud (sp?) coming up? He has nothing more to prove in the minors."Chuckie doesn't take on 2-0. Chuckie's hackin'." - Chuck Carr two days prior to being released by the Milwaukee Brewers

EDIT: Barring some ridiculous FA signings (which isn't likely), using my simpleton math, the Marlins' payroll will drop from $100M+ in 2012 to about $20M in 2013.Last edited by Ben Grimm; 11-13-2012, 04:01 PM."Chuckie doesn't take on 2-0.
