    Baseball Christmas

What baseball-related gifts did you get/give for Christmas?

I got a bunch of baseball card packs in my stocking, and gave my dad a book called "Opening Day," which is all about the first day of the season in Cincinnati. Great book.

New Era Tampa Bay Rays hat that I have been looking at for a long time, and a new 1st base mitt.
People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring. -Rogers Hornsby

I gave my nine-year old nephew a foam baseball bat with a ball. He liked it.

These made it to my Stocking this year (some I bought myself)

    - Giants 2010 Wrold Series 8 DVD collector's set
    - Giants 50 year anniversary book (published 2007) - rare and out of stock most places
    - assorted Giants jackets, sweaters and hats (bought Novemer 2010)
    etc

I remember the 2008 Christmas after the Phils won the Series. So much Phillies gear, (DVDs, hats, mugs, ornaments, just about anything). Enjoy it Roy.

That remonds me of how my cousin one year got a Nerf mitt, because he thought it looked cool and wanted it. He had no idea what the purpose of it was, though.

We haven't spoken in over 25 years.

I got a book called "Believe It" recapturing the season of the 2010 Texas Rangers. It is filled with some great photo's and reproductions of the Dallas Morning News newspaper.

I also got another book filled with baseball photography of a man named Walter Iooss.

Great shots from the 50's and 60's. Many of the photos were from a calendar I got for Christmas in 1985.

My mom got me a great matted frame of the 2010 Texas Rangers, American League Champions.

Finally, my wife gave me 2 season tickets for the Rangers this next season. They are upper level but they are great seats in the RF Corner. They only costs $324 each. That is only $4 a game per seat!!!
