Complete Browns Uniform From 1944 Reenactment

This uniform was made for the 20 year anniversary game for the 1944 World Series. Oh, and there's one from that other team, too.pants+sox..JPGjersey3..JPGjer..JPGnumbers..JPGbyerly..JPG
See my other post on this subject for a description of the events.

Those are amazing looking! Good old, Willis Hudlin. Nice to see him parlay those 2 innings pitched in 1944 into being part of the re-enactment 20 years later. (That's not being sarcastic, That's genuinely awesome!)

Looks great... Well done. The crown of the cap looks to be a little tall/modern, but that might be the angle of the photo.
"Herman Franks to Sal Yvars to Bobby Thomson. Ralph Branca to Bobby Thomson to Helen Rita... cue Russ Hodges."

Hi StanTheMan and thanks for your comments on my re-enactment uniforms. If the cap appears tall/modern that's
because it was made in 1964 for the old timer's game, and carries the red and white Rawlings label from that time.
It is shaped differently from an original 1940's cap and has a longer bill, but the most obvious difference is the higher crown with the small 1/2" diameter button, compared to 3/4" diameter on the original. I'll try to post more pictures
when I get a chance. I did put photos of original period '40s Browns caps from my collection in previous posts of this forum, under "1940 Home Jersey" and "1944 Road Uniform Complete".

I've got the Laabs jersey and pants from that reunion. It's a size 42 jersey with Laabs stiched at the bottom.
