Kershaw: CG brilliance that proved he doesn't have to strike out a bunch to win.
Loney: Apparently starting to understand that corner IF should drive in runs!

    A new win streak begins!

Repeating what Vin said, he was not on his game but still finished with a complete game and a win. I am glad Don left him out for the 9th. And Andre was excellent, to compliment Loney. Not a bad effort and even though it was only against the Pads, a win is a win. 6 out of 7 is not bad so hopefully they will continue to make their presence felt for the rest of the season.

Well, I will take a win like tonight's any day. Billingsley got beat up early, the bats were being swatted like flies. A disaster in the making. Quo came in, my wife & I shuddered, and he pitches the best he has done all year. The bats come to life, the 5 run 7th, the lucky call against Uggla at 2nd, great catch by Bourne to rob Loney, great catch by Sellers in the double play, Guerra getting hit out of the park for the first time in a possible comeback 9th by the Braves. The game had plenty.
They are scoring runs, coming from behind, staging off comebacks (6-4 win against Phillies), 9 of 10, sweeps!!! They can finish above .500 if they keep going like this. They could even finish 2nd in the division if the Gnats keep slumping.
Go Dodgers, this is what we have been waiting for.

You watch the Dodgers with your wife? Now that's a solid foundation for love.

We met at Dodgers Stadium. I hit on her, did not strike out and ended up with a home run, after taking a while to get round all the bases.

They have dozed off again. Don't they remember that games are not won in the first inning?

Dodgers pummel Pirates 15-1 in today's game, reach .500.

They still have the Gnats and D'Backs to play. If they can contribute in offence like the last 3 games they can finish above .500 but have some better pitchers to face in the last few games.

They got past the Gnats, should get by the Pads, although it is far from a hitters park, and the D'Backs will have the division sewn up so they may rest some key players, so a + .500 season is really on the cards. If Kemp & Kershaw can win the MVP/CY and they finish over .500 it will be a way more satisfying season than it seemed at and just after AS break.

I didn't expect the Dodgers to make it near .500 this year, to be honest.

Anyone following tonight's game on MLB GameDay? It is not working as usual for me, and I am wondering if anyone else is having problems. On another note, let's all pray for Eugenio Velez - he doesn't have a hit in MLB since 2010. 0 for, like, his last 60-some ABs. Perhaps he needs a bucket of KFC like Cerrano in "Major League"?

    GO DODGERS!

Okay, nerves are better now. Once again, posting and quoting myself. Ah, the joys of being a Dodger fan in the CST zone. No MLB Network, no fun.

I hear ya!! I said the same to my wife when he came out last night. To be quite honest the whole bullpen makes me nervous, although they have gotten better - most of the time. I thought we would be into the bullpen early last night, but Lilly actually hung in well.
