Not sure if I got the name right but he was a Cuban player.

Luis " The Mule " Padrón ( photo # 299 ) was a magnificent cuban player that pitched very well and also play the infield . A strikeout artist he is here in his 1905 Poughkeepsie uniform . He was offered a tryout with the White Sox in either 1908 or 1909 . Didn't make it . It is assumed that he was too darky for the " gentlemen " of that time .
