Sounds good. This year's results aren't too awfully mysterious, I imagine.

Sounds good. Move forward. The only mystery here will be what order the big three are elected in and how close Grich and Simmons get this time around.

Those are three eventual, but not immediate additions to my ballot on the contributor side. Only Ron Guidry from the player's side will make my queue (Hough just misses and Richard's too much of a what could have been).

I say yes if you're willing to do the work, which is evident. This year (2011) I haven't paid close attention to the comings and goings of occasional participants but I know that the group has continued to be more stable than for most serial projects in this forum. Brad's point is valid too, although there have been cycles with three more decisive winners.

Sounds fine. Looking forward it wouldn't surprise me if Grich and Simmons have a short wait. Earl Weaver will make my contributor's ballot, hopefully not at the cost of anybody. Mr. Steinbrenner hadn't really cemented his legacy as of yet, other than its negative side.

I'm fine with it as well. Weaver will knock someone back but that's about all the changes I see.

Absent some strong objections, we'll start the 1995 election Saturday. This will probably be the only time I do this, though. It separates the Best of Baseball project from the complementary elections to the team HOF, which actually helps me out a bit. Staggering them will be to my advantage, I think. I will want to keep it that way, which is one reason I doubt I'll move up an election again (besides the fact I think this is the first time we finished so quickly). Another issue is that I've pretty well calibrated things so the 2011 election comes after the World Series this year. It can't be sooner than that, and I don't want a big lag before that election.
