With Bill Russell returned to the fold the Corsairs are pretty well set before we even get to the draft and free agent auctions

    C Ed Ott 98 OPS+
    1B Andre Thornton 151
    2B Bill Madlock 144
    3B Doug DeCinces 149
    SS Bill Russell 92
    LF Steve Kemp 117
    CF Fred Lynn 133
    RF Bobby Bonds 138
    DH Mitchell Page 134
C Brian Downing 98 (platoon with Ott)
    IF Jerry Royster 78
    OF Jerry Martin 119
--The defense is only okay. Russell is EX at SS, but everybody else is AV. Still any position player I add will likely be bench fodder/inhury replacement.

    SP Ron Guidry 208 ERA+
    SP Jon Matlack 167
    SP Phil Neikro 142
    SP Matt Keough 112
    SP Rick Rhoden 96

    RP Ken Forsch 122
    RP Tug McGraw 112
    RP Rawley Eastwick 98

--Some bulllpen depth/improvement is needed or perhaps an upgrade at 5th starter with Rhoden going to the pen. We've got 40M to spend on that though. Its going to be an easy offseason for Emerald City.

--The Knights will require more work. 3B, RF and DH are vacancies. LF and CF both have playing time issues and will need good backups. Several of my SP will need somebody to pick up innings slack for them.

She's getting better. Back to work in a couple weeks.

The Gold Sox... this will be a rebuilding year. Two-thirds of a solid lineup, but with just two pitchers, one of whom loses any remaining shred of usefulness this year.

We're looking to trade the following:

      Larry Bowa (SS, 92 OPS+)
      Jeff Burroughs (OF/DH, 156 OPS+)
      Carl Yastrzemski (LF/1B, 112 OPS+)
      Eric Soderholm (3B, 108 OPS+)
      Tom Seaver (SP, 125 ERA+, 1.18 WHIP)

Chances are best reasonable offer by the start of the season will get them. I've gotten offers for Bowa and Burroughs already.

Ditto from me. Glad to hear things went well with your mom. I also hope your exams went well, and best of luck with the job search!

The Beavers and Lumberjacks have agreed to a trade. The Beavers get Jim Palmer and Charlie Moore; the Lumberjacks get the Beavers 1979 #1 draft pick, Fred Norman and Carlton Fisk. Both Fisk and Palmer are franchise players. The Beavers will sign Palmer for 2 years at 14M.

The Lumberjacks confirm this trade, sign Fisk to a one year, 13M deal and immediately put him on the market.

If anyone is interested in a vg fielding catcher with a 125 OPS+ in 658 PAs (also plays an av left field), PM me.

The Thunder have traded P Tom Dixon, CF Rick Bosetti, and the Thunder 3rd round pick in '79 for the Gamblers second round pick in '82. Rich please confirm.

The Dust Bunnies have an excess of draft picks in 1979. We are willing to trade one or more of them for pick(s) in 1980 and beyond.

Tom Seaver can be had for a third-round pick or best offer. More if you want me to take some salary back.

Jim Wohlford should not be on the Gamblers roster. He was a HTD player that we did not extend an offer to
