Hall of Famer Harmon Killebrew entering hospice
Sad news from Minnesota...
This was mentioned in the "Current Events" forum but I thought it rated a mention here as well.
Hall of Famer Harmon Killebrew, who started his major league career with the original Senators franchise in 1954, has entered hospice care. Killebrew is suffering from esophageal cancer.
Harmon Killebrew enters hospice care
Killebrew, one of baseball's genuine "nice guys", played for the original Senators franchise from 1954 through 1960. He'd move with the team to Minnesota in 1961 where he'd be a mainstay of the Twins lineup for the next 14 years, finishing his career with a short stint in a Kansas City Royals uniform in 1975.
