Former Expos' manager Dick Williams has passed away. Williams is the second winningest manager in Expos history, ranked by W-L%, with 380-347, for .523. He was at the helm for both seasons (1979 and 1980) during which the team lost the pennant in the last week end. He was the Montreal ball club manager from the beginning of the 1977 season until September 7th, 1981, when he was replaced by Jim Fanning. He has the fourth longest tenure for an Expos’ manager with 727 games.
