Whether you agree with it or not, its good to see Strasburg on the right track. I'd like to see him sit out the rest of this year, but judging by the article, Davey Johnson wants to see him throwing off the mound in Nats Park at the end of the season. Guess we just have to wait and see how the Thursday, max effort session goes.

I think he had maxed out on what he could do rehabbing in FL, and once he starts a minor league rehab, they have to bring him up in 30 days. It looks like they are timing Strasburg's return for him to replace J Zimmermann when he gets shut down. It sounds like they're bringing him around slowly; I think he's only throwing a max of 30 pitches Sunday.

Except for giving up a HR, it sounds like he did as well as could be expected, 1 2/3 IP, 2 H, 3K, 0BB. He threw 31 pitches, 25 for strikes.
