Thread: Mike D's 1990 TTM Auto Project

If you are a member of SCN, get in touch with craigbnyman. He is going to a meet and greet. Rob Robinson is on the list. I have heard some rumblings in the autograph community about Billy Bates. I might can help you on that but I will not know for about three weeks. If the rumors are true, it will be a fee signing and I am going. I have a feeling it is going to be expensive though.

Thanks for the info. I can't see either of those guys being worth paying money for their autos, but if they can get it, more power to 'em!

    * - pictured as a NY Met, but we'll include him here.

Lets take a look at the player's signing habits:

John Candelaria - Only a 26% success rate on SCN, with no successes since 2008. We'll skip him.

Tim Drummond - No successes on SCN in 6 total attempts. We'll pass.

Mike Dyer - No successes on SCN in 7 total attempts. We'll pass on him, as well.

Scott Erickson - 37% success rate without any successes since 2006. We'll skip him, too.

German Gonzalez - No attempts for him on SCN. I'm guessing he lives outside the US.

Mark Guthrie - 51% success rate with no successes since mid-2010. We'll pass.

Chip Hale - 89% success rate with recent successes c/o Mets. I'll give him a try there.

Terry Jorgensen - 98% success rate on SCN, so I'll give him a try.

Terry Leach - 88% success rate on SCN. A few recent requests still out there, but we'll give him a try.

Shane Mack - 50% success rate, with no successes since early 2010. We'll skip him.

Francisco Oliveras - Another guy with no successes or attempts. I think he's another one living outside the US.

Junior Ortiz - 11% success rate with no successes since 2005, so we'll pass.

Jack Savage - 73% success rate on SCN, but no successes since March, 2010.

Lenny Webster - No successes in five attempts according to SCN. We'll skip him.

We'll send requests to 5 of the 18 players in the sets (28%). We'll send 8 of the 22 total cards (36%).

Lets take a look at the player's signing habits:

Dennis Boyd - "Oil Can" has only a 21% success rate on SCN and no successes since 2009. That's too bad, since he actually lives right here in Rhode Island.

    83. Hensley Meulens (Front) (Back)
    84. Kevin Mmahat (Front) (Back)
    108. Deion Sanders (Front) (Back)

    1990 Topps Traded

    9T. Mike Blowers (Front) (Back)
    21T. Rick Cerone (Front) (Back)
    58T. Tim Leary (Front) (Back)
    61T. Jim Leyritz (Front) (Back)
    63T. Kevin Maas (Front) (Back)
    74T. Stump Merrill (Front) (Back)
    75T. Alan Mills (Front) (Back)
    81T. Matt Nokes (Front) (Back)
    91T. Pascual Perez (Front) (Back)
    103T. Jeff Robinson (Front) (Back)
    123T. Wayne Tolleson (Front) (Back)

Lets take a look at the player's signing habits:

Mike Blowers - Only one success, ever, on SCN, and it was back in 2007. We'll skip him.

Rick Cerone - 93% success rate on SCN with recent successes. We'll send a request his way.

Bobby Davidson - 75% success rate on SCN, but only one success since 2008. We'll pass for now.

Tim Leary - 25% success rate on SCN. We'll skip him as well.

Jim Leyritz - 73% success rate, but no successes since 2008. I guess he stopped signing.

Hensley Meulens - 88% success rate with recent successes. We'll send him a request his way.

Alan Mills - 30% success rate with no successes since 2008. We'll pass.

Kevin Mmahat - 75% success rate, but no recent address (last on SCN has is a RTS). So I guess I'll have to pass unless anyone has an up-to-date address to share.

Hal Morris - 79% success rate, but seems to be very hit-or-miss (or swapping cards outs). I also have an outstanding request to him (from 9/30). We'll pass.

Matt Nokes - 33% success rate, so we'll pass.

Clay Parker - 87% success rate, but no successes since mid-2010. Another guy who used to sign but stopped?

Pascual Perez - No successes ever in 8 requests. We'll pass.

Jeff Robinson - 40% success rate with no successes in 2011. We'll skip him.

Deion Sanders - No successes in about 40 requests. We'll pass.

Wayne Tolleson - 64% success rate with no successes since 2009. We'll pass.

Lots of Yankees cards here (the Yanks were actually pretty terrible in 1990). Not a lot of signers, though. We'll send requests to 3 of the 19 players in the sets (16%). We'll send 4 of the 25 total cards (16%).
