For some reason, those last 2 photos sent chills up my back. So real. Like coal miners seeing daylight for the first time in days.

1905 Pittsburgh Pirates at Spring Training

Here's another one of those Pittsburgh Pirates undated photos we are used to. I'm calling this 1905 for now, because Heine Peitz is wearing a Cincinnati Reds jersey who he played for in 1904. Usually they wear the uniforms from the year before at Spring training.

Giants having their picture taken wearing Anger's Ice Cream Cone hats. Must be for a giveaway promotion for the company?

I never dreamed that I would ever see a photo that had Christy Mathewson(of all people)wearing his cap backwards(in 1912!)I have now officially seen everything.

Check out Burleigh Grimes in the first version 1932 Cubs just above!! But I think he was known to be a "cut-up", unlike the straight-laced Matthewson.

I can`t believe I overlooked him when I first viewed that photo!I`ll bet Elmer Fudd is missing his cap!And I just noticed Grimes`fellow pitcher Lon Warneke with baseball`s all-time greatest pompadour-he can`t even get his cap on it`s is so high.Lon had to have been the envy of all the bald men of America!
