Just curious; does anybody know what is represented on the left sleeve patch?

My favorite team at age 12, partly because I was given a baseball autographed by all of them, which I still have.
Also, my favorite set of NYG uniforms (home and away)except for the cap emblem, which changed for the better in 1949. Thanks for this memory.

I wonder if Bill Veeck had something to do where the players would be in this photo. All the pitchers are together as are the catchers and infielders.

Thanks for the great photo of the Orioles. Being a John McGraw fan this picture will look great in my collection, and Willie Keeler, also great.

Here is a somewhat clearer (but smaller) copy of the same photo, mislabeled as "Pittsburgh Baseball Club 1888". This is definitely the 1889 team, though, based on the players in the picture. Billy Sunday and Ned Hanlon had both played for the Detroit Wolverines in 1888.
