I hope this is true, I'd love for Montreal to get a AA team. It's only about 2 hours away and is a much nicer city than Manchester, NH. Personally, I think the Eastern League should bring a team back to Burlington, Vermont but that will never happen unless we get a new stadium. We're lucky to keep a NY-Penn league team with the ramshackle field we've got up here.

It's a shame that some of the ownership groups just up and moved teams from some Canadian cities several years ago. No teams in Calgary or Edmonton. A short season team in Vancouver?

Canada is a great place for summer baseball. It's also important to market the game beyond the United States. It's important to be in Quebec, because they can ultimately export the game to Europe, the Caribbean and Africa.

Montreal really should get a stadium built and have a major league team. Quebec could have a AAA team, along with Ottawa, Edmonton and Calgary. AA and A level clubs should be at least in Winnipeg, maybe Hamilton and/or Kitchner, Regina, Saskatoon, and maybe a move back to Medicine Hat and Lethbridge for some Pioneer teams.

That said the Dakotas, like Fargo and Rapid City could use minor league baseball as well.
