So, if Joe Torre does become an owner of the Dodgers, is there any chance there would be an attempt to move the team back to Brooklyn (or the NY metro area)?

However, I would put this in the realm of remote supposition. Even though Torre's roots are in Brooklyn (Marine Park), and I believe he still gets back there now and again, I don't believe that would have a real bearing. It looks like he's part of a syndicate, being the "name" front man. I don't know that any of these people are interested in a move.

Plus, all the other obstacles to bringing the Dodgers back still apply.

I agree that Torre is just a "name" in this deal.

As it happens, although Torre grew up in Brooklyn, he was a fan of the New York Giants, just as I was.
