Just wanted to give belated birthday wishes to Alvin Dark, as "The Captain" turned 90 years old this past Friday. There's an excellent article about him on the San Francisco Chronicle's web site (www.sfgate.com) and from the recent photos taken of him in their photo gallery he looks pretty darned good. The Giants wouldn't have won the 1951 pennant or the 1954 World Championship without him.
