It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion. It is by the beans of Java that thoughts acquire speed, the hands acquire shakes, the shakes become a warning. It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion.
I've had this happen before. Sometimes it could be the server. It looks like it almost times itself out but somehow pushes it through twice, especially if I'm clicked on my post as it's trying to submit. But that just may be dependant on from what device you're logged in on. It's happened to me on other discussion-type boards as well.

I believe this one was being caused my a beta-test application I was working on to autosave posts. Members sometimes write really long, incredibly detailed, highly informative posts here. Then the Internet hiccups, or they time out, or some security software on their system "touches" the cookie - post lost. A new, final, non beta version of the auto-save feature is now in full production and I don't think this will be an issue any longer.

I just looked into this thread now, as I've been troubled by double posts on my iPad. On the other hand, I wrote a fairly long, involved post yesterday. When I posted it, it hung and hung; I opened another window and went to BB ref. Then I came back to fever on the new window and opened that thread again and my post was waiting for me. So I sent it off and there it was. Pretty neat, and worth the occasional "double post" edit.
