    Biggest rival

With the 20th anniversary season of the Marlins coming up, I want to ask all Marlin fans out there one question: within the National League, who do you think is the team's biggest rival? I say within the NL because it's obvious that they are rivals with the Rays.

In my opinion, the Marlins' biggest in-league rival is Atlanta. Another Southern metropolis, not to mention they met in the NLCS 15 years ago, which so far has been the high point of the rivalry.
The playoffs should expand eventually, but only if MLB itself expands.

See my blog for more info.

As a Braves fan, I can tell you that they don't have much of a rivalry... right now, at least.
People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring. -Rogers Hornsby
