And Hellickson goes to the DL to join Longo. Chris Archer called up to pitch tomorrow against Stephen Strasburg One good thing is that Keppinger has started his rehab and played 1B last night and could be back up by the Phillies series. I don't think we have had our projected starting lineup at any time this season,as Upton started the season on the DL.

And Joel was ejected? And Joyce left the game with back stiffness? We won't be able to keep pace with these injuries mounting.

Peralta ejected for the Nationals having the umpires check his glove, and they found pine tar.

Just like they knew they would, with him having pitched for the Nationals a few years ago.

Cheating is cheating. I remember how upset I was in 2010 when Jeter claimed he was hit by a pitch in a crucial September game when it hit the bat handle. And I am more upset with Peralta than I am with Davey Johnson calling out a former player in his clubhouse. And Maddon should know better than to try and defend this, and calling Johnson a coward among other things. If you know your guy is cheating, at least tell him not to do it against a former team that knew that he cheated too. It's not rocket science. And now he will be suspended at least 10 games, and the Rays are not allowed to fill Peralta's roster spot.

Idiotic and unnecessary. It's bad enough players the team is shorthanded from injuries, it's another thing to be shorthanded due to stupidity and cheating.

Keppinger comes off the DL...and now the Rays second best RBI man, Matt Joyce, goes on the DL...the merry go around aspect of this season continues.

And, oh yeah...Peralta drops his appeal and the Rays will now be down to 24 players on their 25 man roster due to his cheating. Thanks for nothing, Joel

Watching tonight's game in KC. If there is one thing I absolutely can't stand is watching players in the OF or IF looking up and misplaying a ball in the sun WHILE WEARING SUNGLASSES ON TOP OF THEIR HAT Instead of styling, wear your glasses and catch the damn ball ZOBRIST!! Not once, but twice, he gives KC two extra ABs and Cobb had to pitch out of a jam to hold them to one run. I can understand the Rays being tired after yesterday's DH, but they slept walk thru this first inning

This team is playing some pathetic brand of baseball lately.... I have never seen us commit so many errors before.

Per Maddon, no timetable on Longoria's return. Luke Scott returns from the DL tonight, but Shields has reverted back to 2010 form, has given up 14 hits so far. Circling the drain? Red Sox can pass us tonight in the standings

Price is dealing and the D looks good and we have scored some runs. Why can we hit the Aces but not the crap pitchers?

I like your thinking here, but put Peralta in the 7th inning slot, use McGee as a situational lefty or team with Davis for long relief/mop up duty. Peralta's suspension ends tomorrow, let's see if he's any good without his pine tar.

Price 78 pitches thru 7, he was on track for a CG. Looks like his lower back tightened up. He's next up against the NYY on the 4th of July, my son is going to that game with his friend.

I don't care for peralta i wouldn't put him into the game unless we had a 5-8 run lead Seriously he has blown too many games so far.

Hellickson takes a 100MPH line drive off his shin bone from Prince Fielder and has to leave the game. Longo was being interviewed by FOX at the time, and I quote "the hits keep on coming". Hellickson was making his first start coming OFF the DL, hoping he didn't have happen to him what happened to Niemann, a broken fibula.

Right now, this is just a very boring, average team to watch.
