--As we reach the end of June, all 4 division races get a little tighter. The Johnson is once again deadlocked. We have 5 teams within 3 games fo a playoff spot in the Robinson and 6 within 5 in the Ruth.

--Happy 4th of July . The Knights and Dust Bunnies squared off to break the tie in the Johnson and Leecemark came through with a sweep to jump out to their biggest lead of the season. The Corsairs sweep the Boys to get to .500 for the first time all season - the first time anybody in the Chadwick has reached that exalted mark since April. The hottest team is the Jaxx though, with a 7 game winning streak going.
--5 series between now and the All Star break. I'll get the All Star ballot thread up soon.

Just a reminder for any team still in the race with cap room we have the following players still available

    RP: Tom Burgmeier: 213 ERA+, 1.08 WHIP, 391 BF (L)
    SP: Mike Caldwell: 96 ERA+, 1.35 WHIP, 940 BF (L)
    RP: Woodie Fryman: 160 ERA+, 1.14 WHIP, 331 BF (L)
    1B/3B: Richie Hebner: .290/.360/.466/124 OPS+, 388 PA (L)
    LF: Pat Kelly: .260/.363/.365/102 OPS+, 237 PA (L)
    2B: Joe Morgan: .243/.367/.373/115 OPS+, 562 PA (L)
    CF: Billy North: .251/.373/.292/91 OPS+, 45 SB, 500 PA (S)
    SP: Al Olmsted: 132 ERA+, 1.32 WHIP, 147 BF (L)
    SP: Dan Schatzeder: 103 ERA+, 1.23 WHIP, 794 BF (L)
    1B: Willie Stargell: .262/.351/.485/129 OPS+, 231 PA (L)

In return we are looking for pick upgrades in the 1981 draft. Willing to package any of the players above with a 4th round pick in return for a 3rd round pick. Will offer any 2 players above and a 3rd round pick in return for a 2nd round pick. Will offer any 3 players above and a 2nd round pick in exchange for a 1st round pick.

--The Jaxx winning streak was snapped at 7, but they went on to win the series. They have won 9 of 10 and pulled to within 2 of the Beavers.

Earlier in the season I thought about trying to add to my team to make a run in a weak division but too many future draft picks had already been traded away to obtain anything without risking future rebuilding. With the recent stretch of games over the last couple weeks, we've begun to fade out of the race and now look to be sellers rather than buyers this season. No one on my roster is untouchable for the right price but I am most interest in trading players at the end of their contract than someone who will participate in my future. Here are some players in the final year of their contract that might be of special interest:

    Code:
    		              		 Real Player
POS Player Ends Salary BF/PA Status ERA+ WHIP OPS+
    SP	Paul Mitchell	1980 0.750 89.1 90 111	1.198
    SP	Bill Travers*	1980 1.250 154.1 31 100	1.257
    RP	Dick Drago	1980 2.000 132.2 45 103	1.289
    RP	Rob Dressler	1980 0.250 149.1 27 105	1.299
    RP	Fred Norman*	1980 0.250 98.0 23 87	1.388
    SP	Gordie Pladson	1980 0.250 41.1 - 76	1.306

    LF	Terry Whitfield	1980 0.250 321 31 107
    RF	Larry Harlow*	1980 0.250 301 31 113
    RF	Gary Woods	1980 0.250 53 53 182

Craig, you need to update the Tyrants roster/lineup to account for Gamble being doen for the season.

Give Murcer the starting job in RF. Also send Sutcliffe down and call up Jackson Todd to take his spot in the rotation.

Mark - I accidentally activated the wrong Vuckovich. George is not eligible to be on the roster and needs to be replaced with Pete. Thanks
