The Orioles have eliminated the Rangers.

They now go on to play the Yankees in the ALDS.
NO HANDBALL PLAYING IN THIS AREA

2012 is over..... I would like to say that I saw this big tun-a-round coming, but I can not.

Who would have ever dreamed that our Orioles would have been still playing on October 12 back in April or May....

Fun to be an Orioles fan again.

Congrats to the Orioles and their fans on a great season. I've always liked Buck and think he should be Manager of the Year. I'm a Yanks fan and would love to see him back in NY someday. By the way, where are all the O's fans on BBF? Only two pages for the whole season? And not one post during the entire ALDS??
Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to Yankee Stadium. Here are the lineups for todays game...

What a great effort by Baltimore this season. In my opinion, they would have won the AL East title and this series against the Yankees if Nick Markakis had BEEN HEALTHY. When your most professional and best hitter (for batting average, plus he's a doubles machine) can't play during the stretch run - well that's an obstacle and disadvantage that simply can't be overstated. Although the Yankees ought to have Michael Pineda back next year they are still going to have to find other ways to improve their team to stave off the hard charging Orioles.Plus, the Yankees have the oldest lineup in baseball (or close to it). Someday soon a lot of these guys are going to reach back for the skills that have made them stars but they'll come up empty as the ability to perform at their peak levels is simply not going to be there anymore.(See 2012 Philadelphia Phillies, 1965 New York Yankees etc., etc.) Once again, the Orioles sustained a few tough losses (as in the Ibanez two homer game) but hopefully they'll get over that disappointment quickly. Put simply: 2012 Baltimore Orioles - great season with a great future!

Heck of a run by the O's this years.
O's fans have really deserved this season after all the lean years, hopefully this team will be something of a contender year in, year out for years to come.
