I always mean to use this thread but I never have.

Nice 2-1 victory for the Whitesox today. Chris Sale won his 9th straight although he had a bit of a rough day. Nice to see Adam Dunn getting hot again with another big homerun. Alex Rios another big game. This Boston series will be a tough one.

Rumors in Chicago is the Sox might get Ryan Dempster but the Cubs want pitching prospects which the Sox have and a 3rd baseman prospect which the Sox don't have. I say sign Youkilis to a two year contract and give em Brett Morel.

Tomorrows game will be interesting with Youkilis returning to Boston. I'm sure the Boston fans will really show Valentine what they think of him.

Sounds like a plan, but why would the Cubs, or anybody, want Brent Morel? What is he even doing on a Major League Roster?

He once had 20-25 homerun potential with a good glove but his stock has deff dropped after this year. But if Kenny Williams does somehow pull that off, I take back everything I said about him the last 3 years.

I gotta say i'm pretty surprised how well the Sox did this month as of today we are 13-9 in the month of July. Another nice game tonight in Texas winning 5-2. Konerko and Dunn both hit long homeruns and Phillip Humber actually had a decent game. This Brett Myers is looking pretty good but Matt Thornton is looking horrible. A sweep in Texas hopefully and then on to Minnesotta.

Took 2 of 3 vs the Angels. Pierzynski now has 5 homeuns in his last 5 days. Liriano looked decent which is a good sign.

Chris Sale looked very sharp tonight after having 9 days off. Maybe it will be a good thing for the Sox if he gets more rest between starts.

Paul Konerko and Gordon Beckham each homered and A.J. Pierzynski had two more hits and a rbi as the Sox beat the Royals 4-2.

Tonight was the first time the Whitesox have swept the Yankees since 1991. Chris Sale pitched another good game and Alex Rios came up big with a homerun after Derek Jeter hit one to give the Sox a 2-1 lead.

I really must say i'm very happy how Ventura is running this club, if Guillen was still here he woulda benched Rios, Youkilis and Pierzynski to give em two days rest. This may backfire on Ventura in the final swing of the year but it's nice to see your starters in everyday and not the Guillen way of resting your best players in a pennant race.

I would have to say Alex Rios is the Sox MVP so far this year. Another big homerun last night.

Very nice come from behind victory tonight. Adam Dunn hits two homeruns with one of em being a three run shot to put the Sox ahead in the 8th. I'm thinking this last week will be a good race between the Tigers and Sox. Hopefully with Verlander pitching tonight he probably will only get one more start which can only be a good sign for the Sox.

Dan Johnson hit three home runs on the last day of the season! I didn't even know he was on the team!

Yeah I liked him alot. He might be around next year because I think the Whitesox are due for a major overhaul. I don't even think Steve Stone will be back.
