2012 Mets Season Thread

Interestingly enough I heard on WFAN yesterday morning that before the season started Vegas had the Mets over/under at 73 1/2 wins.Well,the outcome to that bet
went right down to the last game of the season.With the Mets winning that last game
congratulations to all you winners out there that had the Mets at over 73 1/2 wins.

Just watched Collins put a happy spin on everything. Then I watched Bobby Ojeda give his two cents. I could have written Bobby's rant, word for word. If Bobby gets it, why doesn't Mets management.

Management does get it. Mangement knows how bad this team is (especially anyone that heard Aldersons interview). They are fully aware of how much this team sucks.

Why dont they come out and say it? Money. Ojeda can call it like it is because thats his job as a member of the media. Collins has to put a happy spin because if he doesnt its his job he is talking about. Manuel has the track record of winning to spew after a bad season.

Four years running of horrible baseball preceded by two years of under achieving baseball. So now its 6 seasons with out a playoff game during a period where 25% of the teams make the playoffs. Now with the second wild card 33% of the teams make the playoffs.

For a team in the biggest market with a huge fan base to draw from this is beyond bad.
