Well, all those who complain about Jeter's glove are getting what they deserve. I feel much better when The Captain is playing SS.
Lou Gehrig is the Truest Yankee of them all!

Dude relax it's just first two games. They always start slow then they get hot at the rite time. Don't quit on your team.

One error. Let's get the kid some playing time. Jeter is surehanded. I will give you that. Stone legged though. Yes Jeter makes that play. Nunez will make plays that Jeter will not.

Hughes has looked good and hell boy was the luckiest pitcher last year. Yanks have a good chance if Girardi does not manage them out of a third straight.

Hellickson is legit Ace. Hughes could still be good but he will never be an ace.

Ibanez is still good defensively huh? At least Ibanez stupid play didn't cost the Yankees another run.....

    Ibanez should never field, ever.

BUNCH OF SPOILED PIECE OF GARBAGE. Jesus Christ I wanna smack all of them. Except Hughes, he did alright today.

You do realize it's only April 8, right. Three games into the season. I rather start slow and finish strong. April will end soon enough.

Its not about loosing, its about **MAKING** bed on opening day. I am so ******* sick of this ****. for once I'd like strong opener.

Hughes though Really, 4.2 inning? Thats it?

Hughes 5k 2bb in those 4.2. Did he pull himself? Your ace could only k 4 in 8.2 while walking 4. Sometimes the ball doesn't fall where you want it to. Even out over enough games.

LOL. By September, you guys won't even remember this series. I expect the Yankees to be there at the end, battling the Rays, but talking about small sample size, 3 out of 162 is miniscule. Toronto is much improved and I expect them to be battling Boston for 3rd place, especially once Bobby V implodes.

That's probably one of the funniest things I've read that you've said.

You do know that it's 2012 and not 1992 right? LOL
"After my fourth season I asked for $43,000 and General Manager Ed Barrow told me, 'Young man, do you realize Lou Gehrig, a 16-year-man, is playing for only $44,000?' I said, Mr. Barrow, there is only one answer to that - Mr. Gehrig is terribly underpaid."- Yankees outfielder Joe DiMaggio

This is for everyone not just The Korean.

My dad rest his soul, once told me exactly what his dad told him:
"Every team wins 50 games and every team loses 50 games. It is truly the 62 in the middle that make or break each team."

That saying has been accurate other than maybe the seasons the Mariners and Yankees both won more than 112 games.

Another fact to chew on is that teams go through a lot of hot and cold spells in this sport. In football, you have to pretty well be on most of the 16 game schedule but as in almost every sport the time to peak is the last portion of the season such as August, September and October in baseball.

The sweep sucks but we won't even remember this September 1st.

I know it's early, but we need a W badly tonight. Just look at the Red Sox last year. Everyone says these early games "don't matter" but when you miss the playoffs by a game, all of a sudden they seem more important than you thought.

On the bright side, we aren't playing terrible. Jeter and A-Rod have looked decent at the plate and the bullpen outside of Mariano's hiccup should be fine. Hughes threw well and you know Sabathia won't put up too many stinkers like opening day. All in all, there is no reason to panic yet, but it is naive to think everything is ok if we don't sweep or take 2 of the next 3 in Baltimore.
